Good morning everyone,
A few weeks ago I had a conversation with members from Board of Trustees. We discussed ways to bring the Hall back up to speed. We talked about the state of the Vulcan hall and making our meeting place whole again. Right now, the hall is in disarray. Below is a list of projects that need to be addressed for the repair and upkeep of the Vulcan Hall. Our new 2nd VP Lyonel Rosemond has volunteered to oversee the project and gather cost estimates on material, paint etc as well as reaching out to the membership for assistance and creating planning dates for the repairs to be completed.
With the assistance and guidance of the Board of trustees and help from the membership, we can get the work done and restore and building that we call home.
The following is the list of repairs, equipment and furniture needed for the Hall
Painting for all walls on all floors of the hall
Deep cleaning for the upstairs Kitchen
Replacement of chairs for the third floor table
Hot water heater
Cleaning out of coat closet
Long term projects
Basement repair, cleaning and restoration of files and Vulcan historical information
Removal of mole from all floors
Floors will be completed tomorrow. The dark color on the floor on the second floor has been stripped and sanded. The last coat of floor finisher will be placed on tomorrow.
Thank you all for your assistance in revitalizing the hall. If you have any comment, concerns or questions, please let me know.
