The FDNY has revealed the recent assignment of its first all-female engine company. Engine 503 on 51st Street in Manhattan.
“The unit was part of the FDNY’s resources assigned to provide fire suppression protection during the UN General Assembly  during September 2018
The engine company assignment included (from left to right) firefighters Vanessa Schoening,  Sarinya Srisakul, VS President Regina Wilson, Eniola Brown,  Martha Brekke and  Lt. Tracy Lewis

The Fire Commissioner hosted the Honorary FF Jamoneisha Merrit Swearing In on
October 26 2017 at 9 MetroTech Center,   Fire Headquarters.
Jamoneisha is the young lady who was burned by another young lady who threw hot water on her at a slumber party. 


A brave girl who fought her way back from horrific facial burns will be sworn in as an honorary firefighter.
